OUR STORY
The Cantelli family has always been a reference point in Sassuolo for lovers of art and fans of vintage items.
In 1976, Giulio Cantelli started a commercial enterprise in the city, buying and selling antique furniture, paintings, silver and antiques in general.
The location chosen for the shop was the old historic centre of Sassuolo, a town famous for its thriving ceramic industrial district.
His son, Carlo, inherited the business following the death of Giulio in 1990, and he decided to expand the antiques business by trading in vintage and modern watches.
It was a brave decision, made solely and exclusively thanks to his passion and aspirations for the future of the company. In fact, at the time, the size of the phenomenon that is the luxury watch market was in no way comparable to the size of the luxury watch market today.
It is said that transforming one’s passions into one’s livelihood is one of the most rewarding events in a person’s life.
Carlo Cantelli, who had shown a keen interest in timepieces from a very young age, cultivated his immense passion over the years, managing to convert it, with great satisfaction, into an important commercial activity.
And it is this passion and dedication to their work that is key to Cantelli Carlo and his colleagues, who, after 20 years of successful business, strive to offer their customers the best vintage and modern watches.
Honesty and professionalism have always been at the heart of the business.
It is undeniable that this has created the excellent reputation between customers and merchant friends that has existed over the years.
Carlo Cantelli is a registered member of the Chamber of Commerce Register of Experts and Technical Consultants in the province of Modena (Periti ed Esperti della Provincia di Modena) and has, over the past 20 years of work and experience, taken part in the major international trade fairs and industry events such as the Mercante in Fiera, the Miami Beach Antique Jewellery & Watch Show, the WTA of Monaco and New York Antique Jewellery and Watch Show.
His wife, Maria, is also part of the family business, and shares Carlo’s passion for the buying and selling of precious items.
So much so that in the store you can not only find prestigious watches, but also certified stones, jewellery, vintage costume jewellery.
Our store is located in Viale XX Settembre, 19, in Sassuolo, in the province of Modena. The premises, which have recently been refurbished, are the very same premises where Giulio opened the original store in 1976: a testimony to the fact that, just as with watches, businesses can and, above all, must be passed down from generation to generation with love and passion.

Andrea Piccinini has been part of our team since March 2016.
Born in 1988, after completing his Degree in International Management at the Faculty of Economics of Modena, he decided to follow his passion for timepieces, transforming it into a full-time job with tremendous success.
He has always had a passion for watches, and as well as being our e-commerce coordinator, he also deals with the study and sale of vintage watches at our store. Although he hasn’t been at the company for very long, Andrea has quickly gained our respect and trust. We are confident that, with his enthusiasm and dedication, he is able to offer customers a pre and post sales service of high quality.
